A.: A series staff development opportunities for technology integration, including Guidance and Career Exploration Services.

Q.: What are the Model Schools Program options?
A.: There are several options that school districts can subscribe to: Shared Learning Objectives, the Model Schools Workshop option, On-site Training, NERIC Centralized Training and Technology Planning.

Q.: What is the minimum service a district must subscribe to for hardware and software aid?
A.: Shared Learning Objectives (SLO)

Q.: What are the benefits of SLO?
A.: Districts submit projects that can be accessed on-line by the other districts to share in the curriculum work of others. Year long support is provided to the districts by NERIC staff. Call 518-456-9245 and ask for an Instructional Coordinator.

Q.: What are some courses offered under the Model Schools Workshop option?
A.: ClarisWorks for Visual Aids, Spreadsheets in the Middle School Classroom, PowerPoint and the Classroom, and Saving HyperStudio Stacks as Web Pages are just a few of the titles.

A.: Districts that subscribe to the service offer the sessions in their buildings.

A.: Content area specialists from school districts teach their peers to incorporate technology to meet curriculum requirements in alignment with the NYS Learning Standards.
