SERVICE DESCRIPTION:

The Cisco Networking Academy Program is a comprehensive e-learning program, which provides students with technology skills essential in today’s world. The Networking Academy Program delivers Web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry-standard certifications.

In addition to the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) program, there are six Cisco Sponsored Curriculum offerings available to schools. These six courses can all be offered independently of one another or can be sequenced to design a program of study. 

Fundamentals of Java Programming Language

- learn the use of Java language’s object-oriented technologies to solve business problems
- students will be prepared for the Sun Certified Programmer Exam or the Java 2 Platform Exam

- learn entry level UNIX/Linux operator skills and commands
- students will be prepared for the Sun System Administrator 1 exam

- learn voice and data network cabling and installation, along with studying industry and world-wide standards, types of media and cabling, physical and logical networks, as well as signal transmission

IT Essentials 1: PC Hardware and Software

- learn skills to build a computer, install operating systems, add peripherals, and connect a computer to a local area network
- students will be prepared for the CompTIA A+ certification exam
